You can pop up. You can ride a wave. But you want more — backside turns, reading swell, surfing with real consistency. Taghazout is one of the best places in the world to bridge that gap. Here's why, and what an intermediate surfer can realistically expect from a week at surf camp.

    1. What Intermediate Surfers Need Most

In Taghazout, intermediate means you can catch unbroken (green) waves independently, perform a basic bottom turn, and travel down the line. You are comfortable in head-high surf but need guidance on positioning, wave selection, and refining your maneuvers.

    2. The Spots You'll Surf

You've graduated from the white water. Our coaches will take you to spots like Panoramas (out the back), Mysteries, or Hash Point. These breaks offer long, forgiving walls perfect for practicing cutbacks and generating speed without the extreme consequences of the advanced reef breaks.

"Progression happens when you surf consistent waves with someone watching your technique and offering immediate, actionable feedback."

    3. Realistic Progression in a Week

With 5 days of dedicated coaching in our Surf & Stay package, you can expect to significantly improve your wave reading, perfect your stance, and start linking turns. Our small group sizes mean you get personalized feedback after nearly every wave. (Note: Our Surf Guiding package is reserved for advanced surfers surfing heavy point breaks).
